SPRAVATO

A different path toward healing.

Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray treatment for adults with treatment-resistant depression. When traditional antidepressants haven't been enough, Spravato® can offer real, often rapid relief — delivered in a calm, semi-private suite with compassionate monitoring at every step.

What is Spravato®?

An FDA-approved nasal spray therapy used alongside an oral antidepressant for treatment-resistant depression.

Why it can help

It works on glutamate pathways — a different mechanism than traditional antidepressants — which is why it often works when others haven't.

A patient's story

Patient testimonial

“Kristy is an amazing human. I struggled with finding a provider that I clicked with & felt that actually hear me. She was able to get my meds adjusted & after a year of seeing her I started Spravato. It has been such a life changing experience. The office is a warm, welcoming environment. There are multiple rooms with different light levels. The chairs are comfy. A little 2 hour nap or jam session to some Tash Sultana is the best part of my week. Thanks so much for all of your help!”

Spravato® FAQs

Your questions, answered.

  • Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray, used together with an oral antidepressant, to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression. It works differently from traditional antidepressants by targeting the brain's NMDA receptors — which is why it can help when other medications haven't.

  • Most antidepressants take 4–8 weeks to take effect and work on serotonin pathways. Spravato® works on glutamate signaling and can begin to lift symptoms within days to weeks for many patients. You'll continue your oral antidepressant alongside Spravato® for the best results.

  • You may nap or you may remain awake but very relaxed. Some patients describe a dreamlike or floating state. Our staff monitors you throughout your treatment session.

  • Spravato® is FDA-approved and only administered in certified treatment centers under the REMS safety program. We monitor your blood pressure and well-being throughout the two-hour visit.

  • No. You'll need a friend, family member, or rideshare to drive you home after each session. Plan to rest the remainder of the day.

  • Plan for about 2 hours: a short intake and dosing, then a quiet recovery period before you leave. Sessions are typically twice a week at first, then taper down.

  • Many major insurance plans cover Spravato®. We handle prior authorization and walk you through your specific benefits before you commit.

  • The most common are temporary dissociation, mild dizziness, nausea, or a brief rise in blood pressure — all of which typically resolve during your recovery period. We'll review the full safety profile at your consultation.
